East Keal is a countryside parish located at the border of the northern edge of the fens and the southern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Principally a mixed agricultural area with rich soils, the village of East Keal has some 160 houses and a population of around 450 people. There are a good variety of houses some being Listed Grade II, as is the church of St Helens.
From the top of the hills you can see south to Boston Stump 16 miles and east to Skegness and the wind turbines in the sea 20 miles. To the south east the Norfolk coast is visible with The Wash between.
There are many public footpaths, allowing the area to be popular for walkers and able to visit the SSSI of Keal Carrs.
A popular village shop and local MOT garage serve the residents, who also share a village hall with those in West Keal.
