EAST KEAL PARISH COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MEETING

 

Councillors, you are hereby summoned to a meeting of the above-named council, which will be held at The Keals’ Village Hall, West Keal on Thursday 11th July 2024. Doors open at 6:30pm for welcome and refreshments. Meeting start time 7:00pm Public and press are welcome to attend.

Ten minutes are allocated prior to the business below for members of the public to ask brief questions or make short verbal statements to the council. Following this the public are welcome to send any further questions or comments in writing or via email to the council and a response will be made in due course.
 

  1. Apologies for Absence

  2. Declaration of Interest (if any)

  3. Approving the minutes (including signing) of a meeting held on 15/05/2024

  4. Councillors to formally sign minutes of the previous meetings held on 25/04/2024, 15/05/2024 and 29/05/2024

  5. Update from Delegated Groups

    1. Update from HR Committee

    2. Update in regard to Village Volunteers 

    3. Update by the Highways Working Group

    4. Update on the Time Capsule

  6. Discuss and agree the plan for Remembrance Service

  7. Update on Village Assets (including the War Memorial)

  8. Reports from representatives on outside bodies:

    1. County Councillor

    2. District Councillor 

  9. Signing of the current Standing Orders, Code of Conduct, Financial Regulations

  10. Welcome Booklet – revised version to be formally accepted

  11.  Planning – Checked on 8th July, there are no new applications

  12. GDPR Forms for Councillors and Residents

  13. Financial Update:

    1. An update on payments made since the previous meeting

    2. Chairs expenses (postage) to be agreed

    3. Review of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) 2024/2025.

    4. Bank Reconciliation Statement and Financial Report as at 30/06/2024

    5. Update on actions required to address report from appointed auditor (LALC) of half year audit

  14. Dates of future Council meetings:  Thursday 12th September, Wednesday 20th November, Thursday 9th January, Thursday 6th March

  15. Requirement for an extra-ordinary Meeting to complete the AGAR as per deadline of 31/07/24
